Captured in: Cape Elizabeth, ME
Seen here is a late afternoon capture of one of the more picturesque lighthouses found along the East Coast of the United States -- the Portland Head Light. The shot itself was taken from the cliffs overlooking Portland Harbor on an early September day. The Portland Head Light was constructed back in 1791, and is said to be the oldest lighthouse in Maine.
This image happens to be a favorite shot of mine that I captured a little while back, but I felt it was in need a few processing tweaks. I decided to change it up a bit by adding some motion blur to the ocean, increasing the brightness & white balance a bit, cropping the image a little tighter, and adding a subtle matte finish as well.

"Portland Head Light 2.0" is an HDR image constructed from 3 separate shots, with a differential of 2 stops between images.
The resulting HDR image was processed using a combination of ACR, Photomatix, and Photoshop (includes the use of Topaz Labs plugins -- Adjust, Clean, Denoise, and Glow).
