I happened to be going through a couple of my older shots recently, and realized that I never got around to processing this image of the Annisquam lighthouse. I'm not really sure how or why I missed it, especially as I can still recall the scene so vividly.
I had just set up my tripod only a few minutes before the sun decided to peek out from below the cloud deck... I remember almost being startled by the beauty of the moment, as the sun cast a beautiful golden glow over the entire area. The light had reflected off almost every surface for as far as the eye could see. It was truly the golden hour, and quite an amazing sight.
I knew it wouldn't be long before the sun would start to settle below the horizon, and even recall needing to use my time wisely to capture as many images of this view as possible. I have so many memories of this evening still fresh in my mind, but I completely lost track of the file on my workstation... It's funny how the image was all but forgotten, but it was definitely a sunset that I'll never forget.

Just wanted to share some brief information on the Annisquam Light:
The lighthouse was established in 1801, on what was formerly known as Wigwam Point. It's one of the oldest lighthouses found in Massachusetts.
The Annisquam light made an appearance in the Meg Ryan film The Women (2008), supposedly doubling for a lighthouse located on the coast of Maine.

"Annisquam Sunset" is a blended HDR exposure that was assembled from 3 bracketed shots.
The resulting image was processed using a combination of ACR, Photomatix, and Photoshop (includes the use of Topaz Labs plugins -- Adjust, AI Clear, Denoise, Glow and Impression).
