Location
I took this photo on a back road on my way home. It had been raining for days and days. I came to a section of the road where it starts to go downhill and I saw this amazing view in front of me. I stopped and backed up. You can see the tire marks on the side of the road where I was parked.Time
I took this photo in mid afternoon.Lighting
The lighting was beautiful. It stopped raining for a little bit and it was still foggy/cloudy just beyond the trees. I loved how dark the tree bark was compared to the leaves and the light at the end of the road.Equipment
I used a Pentax K-70 with the kit lens (18-55mm) and a tripod.Inspiration
The beauty in front of me inspired me to take this picture.Editing
I cropped this image as well as increased the exposure. I went through a period of time when I overexposed images, so now I try to underexpose and bring up the lighting in post. I also shoot with a natural color setting, so I increased the color intensity a little bit.In my camera bag
I have a Pentax K-70, Pentax HD DA 35mm 2.8 limited macro lens, Pentax HD DA 4.5-6.3 55-300mm lens, a Pentax manual 50mm 1.7. I also carry a polarizing & ND filter for the 35mm lens as well as lens cleaner, cleaning cloth, extra battery & SD card. During the colder months my bag contains mittens, hat & neck warmer. During the summer in the outside pouches I carry bug spray and a waterproof bag cover.Feedback
Always have your camera ready to shoot. I carry mine everywhere I go and I'm glad that I do!
