I took this photo in my front yard in late spring this year.Time
I took this picture in the morning. He rarely stands still so I was very happy to get a good capture of him. I didn't realize why he was standing still until I uploaded the image to my computer. He really is fun to watch, he stalks everything.Lighting
The lighting was very pretty. The sun was not fully in the sky yet.Equipment
I used a Canon M100 with a 55-200mm lens. My absolute favorite lens for the camera. It's very bright. Anyone who has a M series Canon camera, this lens is a must. I also used a tripod.Inspiration
I love watching my dogs. I make time before and after work to spend time with them outside. I like how childlike they are sometimes. It's fun to see them just be. We could learn a lot from them.Editing
I cropped the picture so you could see the bug.In my camera bag
I have a Pentax K-70 in my bag. I also have a ND filter and a polarizing filter. I have a 35mm 2.8 macro, a 50mm 1.7 vintage manual and the kit lens that came with the camera. I still have the Canon and I was going to sell it along with the lenses. But, I haven't been able to part with it yet. I live in Vermont and the climate is harsh. Unfortunately, the Canon is not rated for low temperatures and does not offer weather sealed lenses. I must say that the camera takes very nice pictures though.Feedback
Always have your camera ready. Rarely does my dog stand still long enough for me to focus and take a decent picture. You have to be ready when the opportunity comes along.
