It is always a good time when you find a location no one else has used. This is what happened in a boho inspired shoot earlier this year. The location is in the middle of the city. Looking at the portrait, you would think we were in the country.

Location
This image was taken at a very unexpected site. I found a commercial lot that had been allowed to have grass grow very tall. In my work, I always look for a site to do a boho shoot. Unless you knew we were in the middle of the city, you would think this was taken out on the farm.Time
This photo was taken just as golden hour was starting. When doing a boho shoot, I always like to have those warm colors as the sun sets.Lighting
My thought for this image was to capture the golden hour, and create a boho style portrait with a romantic feel. The time of day using the golden hour and a little help from my Godox AD200 and 25" Octabox help my vision come to be.Equipment
For this image, I used by Nikon D750, Tamron 70-200 mm F2.8 lens, Godox AD200, and a Glox 25" octabox. I tend to use this setup when doing a lifestyle type of shoot. An additional lens I will use is the Tamron 24-70mm F 2.8. There is very little I cannot shoot with my equipment. The whole idea is to have just enough tools, but not so much that it hinders my ability to move easily.Inspiration
The inspiration for the shoot was the hat. I found the hat at an apparel show and knew it would be the perfect addition to our model. I could see the final images in my find before even taking the first snap.Editing
The image was processed initially in Lightroom for lighting and a few basic adjustments. I finished up in Photoshop with a few final adjustments, and cropping for the exact composition. In my camera bag
In my bag, I carry the following: 2 Nikon D750 bodies, Tamron 24-70 mm F2.8, Tamron 70-200 mm F2.8, Nikon 85 mm D F1.8. Additional equipment that I take along on a shoot is 2 Godox AD200's, Elinchrom lightstand, and either a Glow Octabox or Parabolic softbox. All of my equipment allows me to be mobile, while still having all the tools to capture creative images with the perfect lighting.Feedback
I would suggest that other photographers keep an eye out for sites that you would not normally think of for a shoot. In selecting my location for this image, there had been no other photographers that had ever used the site. Finding a unique site will make your images stand out from everyone else.
