Behind The Lens
Location
I took this photo in Southern Spain whilst walking along a country lane near salt lakes.Time
The photo was taken mid-afternoon on a spring day.Lighting
This was taken in natural light on a semi cloudy day, mid afternoon.Equipment
I have a Nikon D5200 camera and on this occasion I was using my Sigma 18mm-250mm lens, which I just love!! It is a great lens for macro in particular and I am usually really happy with the results. I also had with me spare batteries, cleaning kit and camera backpack.Inspiration
I was inspired to take this photo because of the great lighting on the day, the subject and how it just sat there a looked at me whilst I took the shot and the fact that I had only just got my new Sigma lens and wanted to see what it could do!!Editing
There was very little post-processing done to this photograph, a bit of contract/exposure adjustment and maybe a bit of sharpness added, and a small crop.In my camera bag
I normally have my two lenses, Sigma 18-250 and Nikkor 55-300, cleaning kit, batteries and separately I have my tripod.Feedback
Be patient and try and find a subject that hasn't much surrounding it, so that you can get a good DOF. Practise taking more than one shot...different angles, F stops, etc.......
