Location
This photo was taken in Nassau, Bahamas, South Beach.Time
The photo was captured during sunset at low tide.Lighting
The lighting was all natural light, during a sunset. The shot was capture after the sun had set thus given me the advantage of capturing a silhouette of my subjects.Equipment
I used a tripod, Nikon D7000 with Nikon 18-105mm lens.Inspiration
My inspiration came from viewing many black and white film photos many of which had a beautiful way of capturing people in action, dance, moods and various of emotions with a vintage, dreamy scene.Editing
My post processing was done mainly too balance the tones of black and white. Using levels and curves has been a big advantage in helping me achieve the desire image I was looking for. Also using filter in photoshop, I was able to add grain to the texture of my photo to help create a film effect of that you would see in many old black and white photos. In my camera bag
Nikon D7000, Sigma 8-16mm, Nikkon 80-200mm, Rokinon 85mm, Nikon 50mm, and a 8ft tripod.Feedback
If you are inspired by the photo and want to capture the same results my advice would be to use a tripod to the best of your advantage in achieving less movements so that your subject appears sharp and the moving scene around it smooth. A small aperture would do just fine, 7.1 preferably; that all depends which one is sharper on your lens. And lastly timing is key, be prepared and be there before time to capture every moment of it; the best shop is found taking a quite a lot of shots so be patient and keep on shooting until you get what to are looking for.
