This was taken at a Wolf Conversation Park at Beenham in England. Unfortunately it is now closed to the public but I was lucky enough to visit several times and actually got to meet and greet and walk with a few of them. They are absolutely amazing animals with a powerful auraTime
I think this was taken late morning but I’m not certain.Lighting
I was extremely fortunate that it was a lovely day and the sun was to the side of both me and the wolvesEquipment
It was taken on one of my first cameras, a Panasonic DMC FZ45 Bridge, Aperture f/4.0?ISO 160?Shutter 10/3200, no tripod flash or fancy lensesInspiration
I was watching this pair of wolves for quite a while, their interplay was fascinating and I took several shots, this was one of the bestEditing
Apart from a slight crop I didn’t do any post-processing. As an amateur I find the manual use of ISO, aperture etc quite confusing so I normally stick to Panasonics brilliant AI setting. In my camera bag
Very simply my current camera which is a Panasonic DMC Fz72 bridge with a 60zoom lens, a spare battery and card. I rarely use a tripod but I do occasionally use a neck holder.Feedback
I would say the best way to capture animals is to watch cats and dogs at play or visit your local zoo during the quiet times where you are more likely to see the animals interacting without crowds around. Luckily now we have digital photos it doesn’t matter how many shots you take whilst you are trying to get”that” perfect image
