Woo is now safely tied to the top of the critter cage. When a monarch emerges they need to rotate back and forth to help pump fluid into their wings. The leaf as it aged would not support the weight or the movement resulting in the emerging butterfly to fall. They have to hang on with their feet. If they fall their wings will be crumpled and they will remain that way and they will be unable to fly.
