Location
This photo was taken on the Sky Deck at the top of the Willis Tower in Chicago.Time
This photo was taken in the mid-morning.Lighting
This was taken inside the building using the light that was available.Equipment
Nikon D750, full-frame camera. The lens was a FX 24-120 4G. Settings were F14, ISO 400, Aperture mode, using no tripod or flash.Inspiration
I take photos of scenes that present themselves to me as this scene did on a foggy morning, engulfing the skyscrapers in fog over Chicago.Editing
Yes, I did because I took this photo through an observation glass window exposed to the elements. I had a lot of cleanup to do with spots on the windows. I also enhanced the fog and buildings so that there would be more contrast in the photo. In my camera bag
Nikon D750 full-frame camera, an FX 24-120 4G Lens, tripod, both full size and table top tripod, and an SB-800 External Flash.Feedback
Simply look for the best opportunity to capture a unique moment that is going to change into something else within minutes. Shoot all of the changing moments and most likely, or at least hopefully, there will be one photo that truly captures that moment in time.
