Location
This photo was taken at Fall Festival on a farm near my home. These mums were on a wagon and I crouched down to get a shot from below hoping to produce a nice bokeh.Time
This was taken in the early afternoon.Lighting
The sun was bright with some clouds overhead. So, I used a low ISO.Equipment
I used a Nikon D7000, a Nikkor 18-50mm, f/3.5-5.6 lens with no flash and no tripod. I shot in the aperture mode with the settings of f/4.5, ISO 200. exposure 1/2500.Inspiration
The colors of so many mums on the wagon and the ability to take a shot from below.Editing
I did some post-processing in Photoshop to enhance the colors and remove an object in the back left of the photo. I used the curves and color balance features. In my camera bag
I own a Nikon D80 and D7000 primarily using the D7000. I carry several lenses; the Nikkor 50mm-f/1.8D, the Tamaron 17-50mm, f/2.8 and the Nikkor 18-105mm, f/3.5-5.6. I also use a the SB-800 speedlight and a tripod.Feedback
When you have an opportunity to take a shot from a different angle, go for it. You might be surprised at the results!
