This was taken on a beautiful sunny day exploring Amsterdam.Time
It was mid-afternoon, I was probably on my way to an art museum, or to a canal cruise and saw the bubbles and had to stop.Lighting
The lighting is "all natural." It was a gorgeous day and the sunlight picked up lots of colors in the bubbles.Equipment
I believe I shot this on my iPhone, my "good" camera was probably safely tucked in my backpack until I got to where I was headed.Inspiration
The bubbles! It was a lovely coincidence to be walking by as two men were sending these large bubbles out over the canal.Editing
Not really. If I were really skilled, I might have tried to remove the port-a-potty in the background though :)In my camera bag
Always, my iPhone. If I know I'm going somewhere photogenic, I'll have my Canon Rebel T2i with me as well. I have a few lens filters depending on conditions, and a telephoto lens.Feedback
Amsterdam is very photogenic. You may not get bubbles, but inevitably something interesting will happen as you walk around. I always try to be open to seeing something unexpected that would make for a good shot.
