This was taken in Sonoma County, California, about 2 miles from Santa Rosa.

I believe it was about 2 pm.

Equipment

I used a Sony Nex-6.

Inspiration

I was on a day trip of driving through the wine country in Sonoma County. This is a spectacular winery and is easily seen from the main road. I spent about an hour touring the winery itself and photographing the grounds.

Editing

I used an in-camera HDR setting and for post-processing, I did some minor adjusting to contrast, shadows and sharpening.

In my camera bag

I carry a Sony a6000 and a Sony Nex-6. My lenses are a 17-55mm, a 50-210mm, 14mm and fish-eye. I carry extra batteries and memory cards as well as some cleaning materials.

Feedback

This photo was taken in a very popular tourist area of California, known for the splendor of its wineries. Time of year is important in a scene where there are crops, etc. The greenery of the rows of grape vineyards in front of the building is crucial, I think, to capturing the beauty of the scene.
