Location
The image was taken at a halloween party held close to my home in Alfreton, DerbyshireTime
The image was taken the 31st October 2015 at 19.20. I can remember it well, it was extremely cold but dry. It has been raining constantly leading up to the evening so the ground was muddy and wet under foot.Lighting
The image was taken using 1/250 sec at F7.190mm and ISO 100. I wanted the image to demonstrate the force of the flame being handled by the fire eater and the heat being transfered close to the handlers skin. It was difficult to get the lighting right right as the fire eater was moving around the arena at speed and several areas aound the arena had been lit with other source of lighting.Equipment
The equipment i used was a Canon EOS 70D usin a Canon 18 - 200mm lens. I also used a tripod to stablise the images. No other equipment was used.Inspiration
I had only had the camera a couple of weeks and wanted to take images of fireworks so was not really expecting to take this image at all. I thought the image highlighted the feeling of halloween with the fire eater make up and flames.Editing
I carried out some post processing to darken the background and highlight the flamesIn my camera bag
The equipment i carry depends on the images i attend to take. In this particular case, i took just the camera, lens and tripod due to the adverse weather conditions.Feedback
My advice to anyone who would like to take similar image would be to take a couple of images around the area before the act starts to ensure the right settings are set in the camera and try to position youself where you have no camera disturbance from other on lookers.
