This photo was taken on a Fall day at a Fall Festival gathering.Sadie is my little great niece and she was sitting in her stroller while her mother wheeled her around the grounds.Time
It was probably about mid to late afternoon and the suns rays weren't as harsh.Lighting
I used natural lighting since we were outside and didn't feel the need for any fill flash.Equipment
Since I have a Nikon and a Canon and this photo was taken a while back...I am not exactly sure which camera I used but I believe it was shot with my Nikon d3300. I held my camera and just bent down to fill the frame with her face in order to capture her priceless expression.Inspiration
I love capturing expressions and emotions of people and Sadie was totally showing her uninterest in my camera and all she wanted was to be home in her comfort zone with her bottle. She just did not want to be there.Editing
I did the usual adjustments of sharpening and contrast and converted to black and white in Photoshop for better enhancing her somber mood and portraying and bringing out the emotion.in the photograph. In my camera bag
I usually just carry around one camera ..either my Nikon or my Canon and use one lens...most often a zoom.I tend to carry only basic when I am shooting in order to keep it simple and ligjt.I can then direct my attention to my subject and concentrate only on what I am shooting.Feedback
I believe just keeping your photography simple and easy is the best way to keep your focus on shooting an unhindered by too many distractions.Keeping it simple let's me enjoy and always look forward to my outings.Always be on the look out for emotion and expression when shooting people.Focus on what you intend to shoot and wait for it.Sometimes it might be the next frame after the shutter is clicked that makes the photograph so don't be hesitant to snap that shutter.Have fun with your photography.
