Grand Jury Winner

"For me this image really gets down to the soul of the portrait!  Both girls are very focussed and the connection Paulina has gotten from them is evident.  The balance in terms of shape and form is excellent as well as the lighting which is not over done.  The image comes across direct and clear.  A very connected portrait!" - Greg Gorman

Runner Up

"This portrait also exhibits very direct confrontation and immediately engages the viewer on many levels thus successfully connecting the portrait with the viewer.  The level of intimacy and the haunting stare in the eyes comes across and creates a level of intrigue between the viewer and the subject, which keeps bringing you back to the picture." - Greg Gorman

Runner Up

" Again this portrait conveys a lot of emotion through the stillness in the pose and the intensity in the eyes.  The balance of the image is strong although I would have burned the hands down a bit to take the emphasis off the foreground and bring you more into his face." - Greg Gorman

Runner Up

" I like the approach and horizontal crop of this image as well as the shallow depth of field which forces the viewer to engage more with his eyes which express a level of intensity.  A very modern and strong portrait." - Greg Gorman
