Behind The Lens

Location

The Picture was taken under a highway bridge on the pedestrian's bridge underneath.

Time

We took the Picture around noon.

Lighting

It was a cloudy day. The available light was very soft underneath the Highway bridge. I placed Anna close to the railing to lighten her face

Equipment

I used my Canon EOS 5DsR, Canon EF 35/1.4 II and available light

Inspiration

I wanted to show a feeling of depth - so the background had to be blurry but still had to be recognizable.

Editing

I added some contrast in post, micro contrast and made the vignette more visible.

In my camera bag

In my bag there is usually my camera, 2 zooms (16-35/4 IS & 70-200/2.8 IS II) and the following fixed lenses: 24/1.4 II, 35/1.4 II, 50/1.4 Art, 85/1.2 II. My bag is pretty big and heavy

Feedback

Often my shootings are split in sections of "I know what I do" and "I am trying" (breaking the "rules"). Anna was carrying a Megaphone and the title came to my mind and is self-explanatory :-)
