Location
The photo was taken near Pennabilli, in the Marche, ItalyTime
The time of 'shooting is around 1 pmLighting
The time of 'shooting was not ideal, but I think it gives the photo a special brightness that suits the type of flower: the sunflower...Equipment
I used my D800 with a "old" nikkor AI 28mm f 2,8Inspiration
A field of sunflowers isn't hard to find: Italy and the world is full. A field of sunflowers is also easy to photograph: these flowers are absolute the most "photogenic". It is rather difficult to find the right moment to take a picture that strikes the observer with the force of expressiveness. With this release I think I've found the right time. The scene was incredible: all the sunflowers seemed to look at me, almost putting himself in the pose. I approached and I chose the most beautiful flower and I used it as foreground.Editing
I just tried to stand out a bit the blue sky, made ??too much white on the time of day.In my camera bag
Nikon D800 with all my old nikkor AI lens: 24mm f2, 135mm f2,8, 300mm f4,5Feedback
Perhaps the same photo taken at a different time would have had more "dramatic", but I think for an effect of great brightness can be achieved only with a perpendicular light, the one that always is "not recommended". The lesson perhaps is just to trust your instincts more than to listen to the manuals.
