Behind The Lens

Location

On a mountain road in Tora Bora in NE Afghanistan.

Time

Mid afternoon under clear skies.

Lighting

Natural light in the mountains.

Equipment

Canon AE1 with 50mm f1.4 Lens, no flash. Handheld. Elktachrome film.

Inspiration

This man and his daughter were just so beautiful as they walked from their village to the next one.

Editing

I scanned the slide and converted it to b/w on PS.

In my camera bag

Usually an Oly OMD E-M1 with a 12-40 f2.8 M. zuiko pro lens.

Feedback

Get out, hit the back roads, be friendly. BTW, these people and many others were killed in coalition bombing during the hunt for Osama bin Laden.
