Behind The Lens

Location

Florence, Italy Second floor of the Uffizi Museum. 1981. When I returned in 2010, the sculpture had been moved across the Arno River to the Palazzo Pitti.

Time

1981, November. Afternoon.

Lighting

Afternoon light was coming through west windows and lighting up part of the Angel.

Equipment

Contax 137, 85mm. No tripod or flash is allowed.

Inspiration

The lighting.

Editing

Scanned in the film negative to a digital file and increased contrast a bit.

In my camera bag

Cameras: Sony a6600 mirrorless, Sony a6500 mirrorless. Zeiss lenses: 16-70mm, 85mm. Sony lenses: 10-18mm, 18-200mm, 70-300mm, 90mm Macro. Sigma lenses: 16mm, 30mm. For indoor photography, f/1.4 to f/4: prime and moderate zoom lenses so the camera can be hand-held, as it was for the image above.
