Great capture. The colors are spot on and the reflection sets the tone. Composition is nice.

Location
Loch Morlich in Scotland with the Cairngorm mountains in the background. An area of outstanding natural beauty.Time
About 5am on a very cold morningl.Lighting
No! Natural light only involved. Brightness simply due to bright, cold, clear and calm early morning light.Equipment
A Kodak point and shoot camera! Nothing else.Inspiration
I know the loch and area well and wanted to take an early morning shot when the loch was very calm and the weather was perfect. I loved the brightness and sharpness of the image and took lots of different shots taking advantage of the conditions.Editing
Nope.In my camera bag
Have now progressed to a Canon - still an idiot proof point and shoot compact!Feedback
Don't worry about your equipment not being good enough. The most basic of cameras would have got this result which is entirely down to the conditions. An hour or two later and this shot would have been gone due to temperature rising, clouds, movement on the water etc. The early rise was essential. Patience and persistence are needed before you capture the perfect conditions in any field of photography but occasionally you just get lucky!
