The Joro Spider is natively from Korea, Taiwan, and China but since 2013 they have been found in much of northern GA and western South Carolina in the US. It is a member of the Trichonephila genus and can be found throughout Japan. They can easily be 3" across with their legs spread. They are very colorful spiders usually bright yellow, blue-black and red and weave golden webs. They are an invasive species.
