It was magical and silent. The thin layer of salt on the dried lake surface was catching the first light of dawn above the horizon. Lighting up like millions of tiny crystals and throwing wonderful long shadows, echoing those of the rocks and low islands all around. The infinite emptiness, so full of potential was glimpsed at, all the way to the horizon and in every direction. Not a single cloud, breeze, sound or person around. Paradise!
