Beautiful image.
Unfortunately, development in Australia is destroying a lot of the habitat for koalas. We still occasionally see one crossing the road at night, but sightings are becoming more rare. We used to live next to a park and in mating season, the growls and noise they made, although raucous, was a pleasurable sound as we knew they were about.

This wee guy is lovely as is your photo and reading your comment reminded me of when I was in Queensland and a koala fell on me. He had been asleep and then woken up by one of the staff and was only half awake so he fell off the branch he was on and I ended up with a koala on me terrified as we had just been told that koalas have very delicate ribcages hence we weren't allowed to hold one. I was scared I would hurt the koala so stood there petrified thinking if I touched it I was going to kill it. Never been so thankful to have an animal taken off me.
