This species arrives in spring and stays through the summer in our area, nesting in trees near our home. I had put out plenty of sugar water feeders this year because many of our nectar bearing flowers were late to start blooming due to the severe winter weather in February. They also love to come play in the water spray when I turn on a sprinkler to water the garden.
