Behind The Lens
Location
This photo was taken while walking through Cluj-Napoca's Central Park, during my recent trip to Romania.Time
Taken just after 12h00pm on 21 Sep 2021.Lighting
Despite it being high noon and having fantastic natural light, the tree canopy gave enough shade to prevent over exposure when shooting straight up into the tree from the bottom.Equipment
I used a Canon EOS 70D, ISO 250, 1/100 sec and F5.6 aperture. I had a Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM lens on.Inspiration
We went for a walk in the park at around 12h00pm. We were there from 21-27 September 2021 and this was the FIRST and ONLY day it didn't rain! The park was lush and green, with beautiful tall trees, one of which had these stunning huge (bigger than the size a hand) mushrooms sitting more than half-way up on it. I've not seen these before so I got so excited to take this pic, almost got run over by a cyclist, as I was paying attention to nothing other than getting a shot of this tree!Editing
In post-processing, I did some tweaks in Lightroom, to the highlights and shadows, and also added a bit more of a vintage feel to it.In my camera bag
My Canon EOS 70D and my Sigma 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 DC OS HSM lens is always my go to equipment when sightseeing and "shooting as I go", especially if I don't have time to spend at a place and change lenses.Feedback
Perspective can make something look so different! Look at stuff from all angles and shoot them, you'd be surprised!
