We had an incredibly clear night sky our last night at Lance Chance Mine on Bachelor's Loop in Creede, Colorado. It's such an amazing site to be able to enjoy the Milky Way with just your eyes over one of your favorite places! This is the cabin we stayed in for a couple of nights which is a restored miner's cabin without modern conveniences. It's good to get back raw sometimes!

Love this one. Love how you were able to catch all the stars and yet, get a clear photo of the log cabin.

I used a little light painting in my long exposure to get the cabin lit up during the frame. So I would start the exposure then take a flashing light and paint the full building with light. It takes a little practice to make sure you are not over exposing the various parts of the photo to make it work. Its fun though!
