Abstract Macro Object Photography in a Natural Setting. Taken on a visit to my daughters workshop , this is an abstract fine art study of two rusting railway carriage links emphasising their similarity to a pair of number eights , or the number eighty eight. The macro image was taken of the objects as I came upon them in a natural setting , in natural light , nothing was moved or removed , I wanted to create the composition with the camera and technique alone. The image also encapsulates the beauty of everyday industrial things and the relaxing stillness that can be found when focusing on a quiet corner of a room which is usually a hive of action and activity. Taken from a high POV with a tilted lens with a controlled amount of zoom( I actually had to do this in order to get the composition while leaning over other machinery ). The final image is the unedited version of the photograph taken.
