Maitani Yoshihisa (米谷美久) was a famous Lead Designer for Olympus Corporation. He joined Olympus in 1956 and worked for them for 40 years. He is responsible for the design of three history making cameras, the original half frame Pen model, the Pen F half frame SLR, the OM 35mm SLR system and the XA ultra compact 35mm camera. He was born in 1933 and passed away July 30th 2009. Beautiful designs from and excellent designer.
