Animal Action Landscape Photography. I love this image which seems to sum up the feeling we all have as we look out over the sea at a beautiful sunrise. It was taken using telephoto continuous shooting with as much zoom as necessary to get the beautiful tones and the character of the dog without obscuring the details in variable natural light conditions. I then cropped the image to produce the right composition but did not use any other editing . I took it on my Canon sx730, an incredibly versatile little point and shoot camera which I carry with me wherever I go , especially when I cannot take my other equipment with me just in case i can get a chance to catch a moment like this. I also find this camera more useful in capturing candid shots of people or animals in natural action situations as it is less noticeable to the subjects that a photographer is present and they continue to act in a natural manner, although i do check with them for permission to keep a shot after taking it if they are obviously in sight . This little dog was enjoying the first hint of dawn as it paddled through the waves , and at this moment the sun had just managed to burn through the early cloud and suddenly produced a trail of pearlescent rainbow light upon the water which was so eye catching that even this that the dog even stopped and turned to admire it. It was taken during a walk on one of my favourite local beaches on the Isle of Anglesey off the North Wales mainland , UK. Nature Portrait Photography
