Photo of Bridalveil Fall I took from the tunnel overlook at Yosemite National Park in California. Adding to the majestic mountain drama of the scene, highlighted by the waterfall, was the smoke from a controlled burn being conducted the day I was there. These preventive measures are becoming more common because of the extreme fire danger throughout the western united states caused primarily by climate change. The color contrasts of the scene added to make for an especially vivid image.
