I took this photo of a video demonstration on the effects of climate change at the Aquarium of the Pacific in Long Beach, California. This particular image symbolizes the increasing threat of wildfires as temperatures continue to rise dramatically due to global warming. Many of the themes in my photographs focus on these issues. I believe that photography can play an important role in fostering awareness and inspiring activism to address this critical threat to the entire ecosystem and all life on the planet, including humans. The image was also aesthetically powerful with the sense of exploding drama as well as the fiery red colors contrasted with blue background.
