Abstract Macro Food Art Photography. A close up to quench the thirst ...or make you thirst for more! This image of fruit infused mineral water was taken from above, in a natural light , non studio setting. It's basically a shot of a glass of water I had just poured for myself and I saw a certain symmetry in the way the strawberries had settled themselves upon the surface of the water. Using macro settings and technique and a high ISO it plays heavily with the natural manipulation of light and shadow on the water and the refraction it creates with the fruit. The contrast of natures geometry and the geometry of the object adds to the conceptual composition of the macro study. simplicity and detail in one.
