An impressive beast, exotic in Texas, native to Africa. This was a nice big male (I don't know if they are referred to as a bull or a buck) and it posed facing away from me. It was inside private hunting reserve with tall fences but I was able to walk close enough to get a good view through the fence without trespassing. As it began to run with the mane on arched neck, it made me think of a horse.
A few miles from where I live - Uvalde County, Texas near Cooksey Dam.
