Behind The Lens

Location

This was taken at the Titanic building in Belfast, UK

Time

As far as I remember the shot was taken in the morning after I did the tour of the complex.

Lighting

It was a normal day not too bright and not too dark, overcast with plenty of cloud cover.

Equipment

Nikon D7200, iso 100, f11, 1/30 with sigma 17-50mm 2.8

Inspiration

I love the lines in the architecture and the texture created by the different surfaces in the walls. The way the light and shadow is projected in different ways around the building.

Editing

The post processing involved saving many "selections" in photoshop and using gradients to shade and lighten different areas of the building, in total I think I spent 8 hours perfecting the finished photograph

In my camera bag

Nikon D500, Tamron sp 45mm 1.8 and Sigma 17-50mm 2.8

Feedback

Take multiple shots from different angles and perspectives, don't be in a rush and you will capture your best images.
