Behind The Lens

Location

I was wandering in the Recoleta Cemetery in Buenos Aires as it was recommended as a good tourist spot. And it is, indeed! If you ever visit Buenos Aires, you can't miss a visit to this place

Time

It was a warm Sunday afternoon, nice for a walk. I did not bring my camera, but an iPhone worked very well

Lighting

It was the magic of the afternoon light. My intention was to make it look "spooky" with that spiderweb

Equipment

iPhone Xs, that was all

Inspiration

Actually, I was not looking for anything special, it was just a visit in the place; and i was not carrying my camera, but an iPhone is always handy. When I saw that spider web I remembered that many times I say " don't forget to bring your camera"!

Editing

Yes, very little due to type of format ... adding a bit of intensity to colors, re-framing/a bit of trimming, and a bit of sharpening with Ps

In my camera bag

At that time I used to have a Nikon D800 with different lenses. I just upgraded (I hope, still in the learning curve) to Z7 II. So, in transition, trying to decide what to keep. My intention is to carry less.... D800 and the equipment is heavy (I am a Senior guy) and I am trying to carry less

Feedback

Sometimes you plan, sometimes you get the inspiration right on the spot, then I think it is fair to say try to carry your gear all the time, but being practical and realistic, you can't always, but if you don't have a cell phone, try to come back later with your gear... it may result in something very satisfying. Well, it's up to the possibilities of every one
