Location
This picture was taken in the Delta region of Buenos Aires, Argentina. I was surprised because I had not seen owls in the wild before. I was invited to play golf and everything was very attractive to me. The scenery was very beautiful.Time
It was before noon. I was playing golf and was able to pack my gear in the clubs bag. I saw a number of owls in the area and, funny, they were staring at me. Apparently, it was "familiar" to my foursome, but no doubt strange for me.Lighting
It was a very bright morning, so It would pose no difficulties for the shooting.Equipment
I used a Nikon D800 with a Sigma lens 70-200mm, 2.8Inspiration
As you can imagine, I was not planning to take pictures of owls during a golf game! But the fact of encountering with these opportunities makes me trying to pack my camera every time I travel. I took a lot of picturesEditing
A bit of frame trimming, a bit of contrast. In my camera bag
I "divide the bag experience" in travel (Nikon D800 with lens Nikon 24-70 mm, 2.8, a Manfrotto BeFree tripod) and non travel (Nikon D800 and lenses Nikon 24-70 mm 2.8, Sigma 70-200mm, Sigma 50mm 1.4 (this prime is a marvel), Samyang 14mm 2.8 Sigma 105mm 2.8 Macro, filters and tripod). It happens that I travel a lot, so the 24-70 is convenient, though sometimes I miss the prime.Feedback
If you want to capture unusual situations, you may want to carry your camera any where you go, despite the inconvenience of the weight and bulkiness. But it has its rewards, no doubt.
