This is an image of an Antique Brass Door Knocker and lock, found on the door of a room, in the bungalow where I and my wife were holidaying with other family members. I was attracted to these large brass hardware objects, which were being side-lit by the early afternoon light and the nice contrast they created against the dark brown of the heavy wooden door. The effects of oxidization are clearly visible, accelerated no doubt by the close proximity of the bungalow to the sea. I believe that the modern 'Yale' lock, which had to be included unless cloned, adds interest to the image.
