This Image of the Little Green Bee-eater (Merops orientalis), was captured in Udawalawe National Park, Sri Lanka, during an afternoon game drive. The bird was perched on a branch in close proximity to the trail we were travelling on, bracing itself against a fairly strong afternoon breeze. I took a number of images, of which, this stood out as the best, highlighting the bird's vibrant colors and isolating it against an uncluttered and complementary background.
