Behind The Lens
Location
This was taken in the south of Israel, near the city of Eilat.Time
Night time. It was pitch dark...Lighting
I was using a flash, since it was pitch dark.Equipment
I shot this on a Panasonic G9, with an Olympus 60mm macro lens, and a flash (I don't remember the model, unfortunately, since it has been stolen from me a while ago...)Inspiration
The Gecko has some of the most beautiful eyes in the animal kingdom, so I decided to try and focus on that aspect.Editing
Some color correction and cropping. Nothing much.In my camera bag
I have since changed system to Sony, so I now carry the amazing Sony a1, along with my primary wildlife lens which is the Sony 200-600mm zoom. I use a Sigma f/2.8 105mm ART macro lens, and a Sony f/4 24-105 all-around lens as well. I also carry a flash (Godox V860 III), some filters, etc.Feedback
Be patient and try to locate animals at dark. When near them, move slowly to not scare them away. Concentrate on the particular features that make them amazing!
