This is the iconic Damrak canal in Amsterdam, the Dancing houses reflect in the waterTime
Taken at 10pm, I was on my bike taking pictures and the always busy Damrak was silent. So I took out my camera and tripod and took the picture. It started raining so had to be quick!Lighting
I was very lucky there were so many lights on inside the houses. It really completes the picture and reflects in the waterEquipment
Canon EOS 80D + Sigma 17-70 2.8-4.5 on a tripod.Inspiration
It is a classic Amsterdam photo, tried many times before but always without proper lightning or too busy.Editing
Minor highlight adjustmentsIn my camera bag
Remote shutter, lens hood, various filters, Canon 24-105 f/4L lens + ND filter, several micro fiber cloths and a tripodFeedback
When in Amsterdam, not many people are in the streets after 10pm. The best time for a photo like this!
