Location
Taken from a parking structure, over three nights. First night clouds came in and spoiled the shot, Second night had some difficulties due to camera shake from self timer. This is composite of two shots. One for the comet, the other of the hotel, which was washed out in the long exposure. Newest postcard for the Stanley Hotel.Time
After sunset when sky darkened.Lighting
Comet was not visible when sky was too bright. Use binoculars to find such things as this.Equipment
Canon 6D MkII, 70-200mm lens and tripod.Inspiration
Comets, like Neowise do not happen everyday. I had to use binoculars to find the comet and long, 30 second exposures to capture the comet, and the blue ion tail which is very faint.Editing
Lightroom mostlyIn my camera bag
Canon 6D MkII, 70-200mm L IS lens, 100mm Sigma macro and a 24-70mm Sigma.Feedback
do not use, self timer and IS at same time on tripod.....causes camera shake and blurs images
