Behind The Lens

Location

I love markets and when there is one nearby I go as they have wonderful ideas for photographs. I took this one in Couliere, France while on holiday there last year. I always look for photos images like this as they are so colourful and give such different patterns.

Time

It was in the morning on the market day in this wonderful town.

Lighting

I took this image with natural light. The sun was just in the right place so as not to have too much shadow on the scarves.

Equipment

Nikon D5100. No flash or tripod with my Sigma zoom lens 18-250mm. Most of the time I use landscape setting as this always ensures range of focus. Except of course with portraits of people and animals.

Inspiration

The colours and patterns.

Editing

I just checked the exposure and focus were correct. No extra post processing was necessary.

In my camera bag

My Nikon, standard 50mm lens and the Sigma zoom lens. While travelling I don't take a tripod as there is always a problem with security. The zoom lens has a polarising filter on it.

Feedback

Just keep a look out for similar shots. I always look for colour and pattern in most things around me.
