gardykings, many thanks for your award and appreciation. I am always looking at rocks and things to find representative shapes.

Location
I was visiting Grand Canyon to show my stepdaughter this magnificent place. I love looking at rocks and seeing shapes in them and this looked like a fat lady holding some flowers. This place is truly photographic with all its moods and wonderful light every moment of the day.Time
It was early evening when I wast hoping to catch some good lighting and was very lucky that my wish was granted. I always try to look for some unusual shots which makes photography so interesting. Some parts of the canyon were rosy orange but this one had wonderful blues.Lighting
The lighting was coming from the right and with every moment it was changing.Equipment
I used my NIKON 70D at that time with the Tamron 18-300 zoom lens. I was just resting the camera on the tripod as I had left my quick latch at home. I took the picture on f3 at 100 ISO 1/400sInspiration
I liked the shape of the rock and saw what it represented, thought it was amusing.Editing
Photoshop in CS5. I always shoot RAW and then do what processing is necessary ie: exposure, colour and sharpening. I don't like to mess with the photograph too much.In my camera bag
Now a NIKON 5100D, the standard 55mm lens and my Sigma 18-250mm lens. If travelling overseas I don't take a tripod but do so locally if possible.Feedback
Always look for the unusual. I always make sure when I take scenics to include something close by to give a measure of perspective and always use the rule of two thirds if possible. I think I am probably a bit old fashioned when I take a landscape and think of the pleasure it will bring peoople when they look at it. I am not into out of this world photography as I am also an artist so I suppose I see with an artist's eye as well as a photographer's eye.
