The day I took this image I was exploring the Tulum ruins on a particularly hot day. I was overheating, hiding in the shade at every chance, finishing my water before I barely made it halfway through the site. When I happened upon this area, it felt like I couldn't breathe - I was certain I would pass out if I didn't get into that water IMMEDIATELY. That feeling seemed to be palpable around me, seeing folks hastily strip and jump in the hot ocean with hopes of cooling down just a little.
