Taken as part of my ' Over the Garden Wall ' collection of photographs focusing on things leaning on or seen over the garden walls on my daily walks around my village on the Isle of Anglesey. ' The Gate on the Hill ' , was taken on an evening walk in August at dusk and is seen on the opposing side of the garden of a local farm near the inland sea . It always feels me with a sense of optimism and curiosity of what lies beyond it , and in silhouette , it reminds me of the scenes at the end of old films when the heroine is about to embark into a brave new world full of Hope for the future.
