Location
This picture was taken in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada in the Margaree area.Time
This picture was taken in the afternoon.Lighting
The sun position was such that it was casting shadows into the area.Equipment
I used a Canon 5D MK III and a Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8L IS USM lens. I used a lightweight Pro Master Tripod. In addition i used a Lee Filter adapter and Little Stopper ND filter. I used a wireless remote release as well to take the picture.Inspiration
My inspiration is because this place is just so beautiful. It was about a 1 km hike into the falls however well worth the effort. I have been wanting to visit this falls for awhile so i was delighted to get the opportunity to get there.Editing
I used Lightroom to tweak the photo and Adobe CC to insert my logo.In my camera bag
For this photo i took one the equipment required to the the photograph because of the difficulty of the hike. Normally in my bag i carry a range of prime and zoom Canon L lenses and a Canon 5DSR and 5D MK IIIFeedback
Besides the enjoyment of taking the pictures, enjoy the experience of getting there. This was a great hike, and the falls was so refreshing to cool off in after the hike. To get this picture I walked into the stream and set up my tripod. I tried to get a lower angle perspective for the capture. My advice is to explore a bit and to take it slow and think about interesting ways to get the shot you want.
