Behind The Lens

Location

This photo is taken at a pier at the city of Kushiro, Hokkaido, Japan.

Time

This was taken at February 2019, an evening time around 18:00. I have just arrived Kushiro, walking around at the Nusamai Bridge, one of the famous sunset viewing spot at Kushiro, and this scene appeared in my view when I stood on the bridge.

Lighting

I wanted to capture the moment just after the sunset and using the natural sunset lighting to be the main color of the shot.

Equipment

This was shot by Canon 6D, 17-40mm lens with no tripod and flash.

Inspiration

I am a amateur photographer and I like to take photos with natural light very much. I rarely use flash and want to show how amazing the natural lighting can do in photography. I stand a the pier, the composition of light posts and the sunset lighting formed an excellent angle and expressed the feeling of lonely at the moment.

Editing

A little adjustment on the contrast of the shot was done.

In my camera bag

I am always with my Canon 6D, 17-40mm lens, 100-400mm lens, 35-150mm lens in my bag.

Feedback

Photography is simply a process of moment capturing. And the frozen moment will become your eternal memories. Shot more is the key of improvement.
