Sea anemones are named after the anemone flower of which they vaguely resemble. They are predators. The plume at the top consists of tentacles that are used to ensnare mostly tiny organisms but sometimes critters about half their size. They numb or kill their prey with the aid of dart like poison sacs distributed throughout their tenticles. Unlike plants that can't move about at their base sea anemones are able to creep about. Their movement is so slow, however, it requires time lapse photography to document it.
