The photo was taken with my IPhone 8. It's really the only lens I use and I took it in the Virgin Islands where I grew up, where I might add the colors of the Caribbean are wonderful.Time
The afternoon light in St Thomas is great with plants that shine on their own. I always enjoy finding the perfect look that our flora and fauna present.Lighting
I enhanced the deep red as artistically reasonable as I wanted. I love the sensual feel that these leaves show off to each other. It's a melee gathering..Equipment
I take all photos with my IPhone. I've recently graduated to the 11 and am soo pleased with the results!. I'm so thrilled that this image was recognized. it's one of my favorites.Inspiration
The subject matter was intriguing- the simple way the leaves presented themselves, enabled me to get very close to create the image in a more abstractedly design than just hearty leaves.Editing
The post processing I used was with (tried and true) web-album called Picasa.. quite old school - infact no longer available but it made my image pop!!In my camera bag

Don't be so quick to miss the beauty in it's own light. I'm lucky that i seem to have an artistic eye(or so I'm constantly reminded) that I automatically tend to visualize the outcome of something so simple into what I call my Artographs. I combine my artistic background in watercolors and digital photographs and turn my photos into works of art.
